(Washington, DC) – Today, United States Senator Dean Heller pressed Treasury Secretary nominee Steven Mnuchin during his Senate Finance Committee confirmation hearing for answers regarding OneWest Bank’s affiliation in Nevada’s housing market crash. Specifically, Heller requested Mnuchin to explain how many Nevada homes were included in OneWest’s portfolio, how many Nevadans were foreclosed on by OneWest, and how many Nevadans OneWest assisted through loan modifications. Heller stressed that he requested this information six times prior to today’s hearing and has yet to receive Mnuchin’s response.
