Press Release of Senator Heller Heller Statement on Wildfire Management Hearing Tuesday, June 14, 2011 (Washington, DC) – Today U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) made the following statement regarding the Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing on wildfire management programs.  “Nevadans know all too well the devastating and long lasting-impacts of catastrophic wildfires.  It is not only critical that we secure the resources necessary to fight these fires—we must also ensure the programs are properly managed.  In addition, steps should be taken to prevent wildfire damage where we can and work toward rangeland restoration.  Arizona is just the most recent reminder of the devastation that is created by these large fires, and it is vital we remain prepared,” said Heller.  ###
