Americans For Prosperity Endorses No Budget, No Pay Act
(Washington, D.C.) – Today U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement regarding Americans for Prosperity endorsement of the No Budget, No Pay Act (S. 1981). This bill, introduced by Senator Heller, requires Members of Congress to pass a budget in order to receive pay.
“I am pleased that Americans For Prosperity has endorsed the No Budget, No Pay Act. Passing a budget every year is one of Congress’ most basic responsibilities, and yet the Senate has failed to do this in more than 1,000 days. Our nation is more than $15 trillion in debt and a budget is long overdue. I will continue advocating for the No Budget, No Pay Act, and I am grateful for this endorsement,” said Senator Dean Heller.
Earlier this week, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) also endorsed the No Budget, No Pay Act.
