(Washington, D.C.) – Today U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement regarding the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) endorsement of the No Budget, No Pay Act. This bill, introduced by Senator Heller, requires Members of Congress to pass a budget in order to receive pay.

“I am encouraged that CCAGW has endorsed the No Budget, No Pay Act. The fact that Congress has not passed a budget in more than 1,000 days clearly shows Washington is broken. We are more than $15 trillion in debt and Americans need a plan that offers real solutions. This endorsement shows that this legislation is gaining momentum, and I will continue fighting for its passage. Members of Congress should be held to the same standard as the rest of America – if they don’t do their job, they do not get paid,” said Senator Dean Heller.
