Heller Statement on National Unemployment
(Washington, DC) – Today U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) made the following statement on today’s report from the Department of Labor showing the national unemployment rate rose to 9.2% in June.
“While one of the President’s top advisors may not believe unemployment is weighing heavily on Americans, Nevadans strongly disagree. Clearly, the economic policies of this Administration have not worked. Excessive regulations and constant threats of tax increases are creating uncertainty and stifling job creation. Washington’s adherence to the status quo is not leading to economic recovery. As Nevadans continue to feel the brunt of this recession there is no doubt in my mind that it’s time to change course,” said Heller.
